About Us

PodcastToolBox is my blog for posting tips, tools, and techniques about podcasting, including audio and video on the web.

My name is Mike Shell. I started producing live webcasts back in 1997. Back then most people didn’t know they could listen or watch anything live on the internet. Since then I have produced over 1000 live webcasts and podcasts. There are not many people that have done more than I have. I like to fly under the radar.

Podcasting is just a variant of producing audio and video for the web. Hopefully, I can pass along some of my experience so you can avoid many of the mistakes I have made through the years.

Hardware and software have come along way in the last ten years. What cost us $15K 10 years ago can be done for free on the web today. With that said, I’ll give you the insights you need in buying any equipment or provide you the links you need to produce your podcasts economically and professionally.

If you ever have any questions, just drop me an email.
